About Us

Dominican Home Health Agency

Our Impact: Often, without our interventions, our patients would be in nursing homes, homeless, continually re-hospitalized, or would die of neglect.

DHHA is one of, if not the only agency in the United States providing quality in-home nursing care and health related services to the poor, sick elderly at no charge in the lowest-cost health care site – the home.

In keeping with the legacy of its founders, The Dominican Sisters of the Sick Poor, DHHA’s comprehensive nursing care is not dictated by time-limited mandates or what is covered by health insurance.

In 2017, DHHA provided over 4,500 in-home patient visits and over 3,087 wellness clinic screenings at no charge.  DHHA’s care reduces unnecessary hospitalizations and nursing home placements.

DHHA is often referred to as “the agency of last resort” because if a senior in need has nowhere else to turn, we will be there to help them. Most importantly, we provide our care with the dignity and respect the elderly population richly deserves.
